The coming Chinese New Year Day is on Thursday Feb 3 2011, New Year’s eve will be Wednesday Feb 2.  – What do you have planned to celebrate?

2011 Valley Chinese New Year Festival

Brisbane City Council invites you to celebrate the 2011 Lunar Chinese New Year for wealth, happiness and longevity ushering in the rabbit year.

The Chinese New Year is also known as the Lunar New Year. It is the oldest and most important festivity in the Chinese Lunar Calender where people from all over Asia celebrate for new hope, wealth, health and fortune for the coming New Year. It is widely celebrated in the countries with significant Chinese populations, such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia as well as all Chinatowns across the world.

There will be three days of Valley Chinatown Mall Street Festival Celebration

TIMES:
Friday Feb 4th: 5pm – 10pm
Saturday Feb 5th: 5pm – 10pm
Sunday Feb 6th: 11am – 5pm
